About TestedHelmets

TestedHelmets is being built to make independent helmet-safety evidence easier to understand and use while shopping.

Why this site exists

Helmet shoppers often have to connect several facts on their own: an independent test result, the exact model and generation, its intended use, a trustworthy seller, current availability, and any applicable recall or safety warning. TestedHelmets keeps those facts separate and shows how they relate instead of reducing them to an unexplained ranking.

What we publish

The public evidence-only catalog presents attributed Virginia Tech bicycle-helmet rating facts. It does not publish current retail offers, affiliate links, or purchase recommendations.

TestedHelmets does not operate a test laboratory, certify helmets, or replace manufacturer instructions. Independent ratings remain the work of the cited source. We organize and explain that evidence, preserve its provenance, and withhold claims when a match or source is incomplete.

How decisions stay accountable

Product matching, seller trust, recall and warning clearance, offer freshness, and final publication are separate decisions. Ambiguous product identities and stale or missing safety evidence fail closed. Commercial relationships cannot override those controls.

Material factual corrections are documented, and readers can report errors without using an account or public form. Read the corrections and contact policy.

Who operates TestedHelmets

TestedHelmets is operated by Pubnerd LLC, an Arkansas limited liability company. The service is independent of the testing organizations, manufacturers, and retailers whose information may be cited.
